A little a bit about me, my name is Joanne, I live in a village called LITTLE OAKLEY near Harwich, Essex just off the A120. I have had rabbits most of my childhood and now I own and few different breeds. I like and breed the smaller rabbit which are the Mini Lop and the Netherland Dwarf. My favourite being the Mini Lop.

All my rabbits are treated as pets and they all live in large 4ftx2ftx2ft hutches, this gives the bunny plenty of room to move about and they can stand on their hind legs if they want to. I don't like to see a rabbit in a small hutch the minimum size I have is 4ft. My love of rabbits has even passed onto out little girl Emily born in 2004. Emily helps to feed and clean them out even if that means making more mess then the rabbits do! She even has a Mini Lop rabbit of her own called Rosie. Our little girl loves to handle all the babies from only a few days old if mum lets her!

I buy my rabbits from breeders that have good quality show rabbits and have a good blood line. This means that any rabbits I breed from are of good quality. I only let my rabbits have a maximum of 3 litters a year. This is depending on the time of the year they have their first litter, mainly they have 2! All of the rabbits will have a break in between each litter. I don’t feel it’s fair for any animal to be bred continually, so I limit it! After all would you want to be pregnant all the time? I know I wouldn’t!
